What Causes Popping Sound In The Knee Followed By Chronic Pain?
I was making a rock garden yesterday evening and while sitting on the ground with my legs stretched out , I reached out to my left oto get the rock I wanted and my right knee made a pop sound, almost like someone cracked no rhere knuckles loudly. I am 62 and need to know what I can do for my knee, that is very sore. It hurts when trying to bend it, a lot, but not much sitting with my legs out. Please let me know what I should do for it.
We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to get to nearby medical facility ER and get its X-rays done as it can be soft tissue injury but bone dislocation etc should be ruled out.
OTC Analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be started now for the pain. Local diclofenac gels can be softly applied. The orthopedician review may be needed as well. Avoid putting weight and strenuous activities.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
