What Causes Positive Pregnancy Results Despite An Abortion?

Had a surgical abortion 3 weeks ago, had no spotting, no discharge and no bleeding AT ALL. I had a few severe stabbing like pain cramps every now and then for a couple of days. Have tonight done a pregnancy test and it's still showing positive.? I was 6 weeks pregnant, is it likely there is a problem..?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pregnancy test may be still positive as bhcg in blood may persist for more than three weeks.
