What Causes Positive Result After Abortion?
I had a medical abortion a over a month ago. I was only 3 weeks pregnant. I went in for my check up 2 and a half weeks ago. My urine test came back "negative" and nothing showed up on the ultrasound. I was told my abortion was successful. However, for the past couple days I have been feeling nauseous and coming up "positive" on at-home pregnancy tests. I have not had sex since my abortion. I'm very confused as to why if my test was negative at my appointment, why am I testing positive now, and I have not had sex since the abortion? Is it possible they missed some tissue on the ultrasound? I feel extremely ill. Please advise.

Hi.. Gone through your query. Ya agree sometimes it happens so specifically if pregnancy duration at termination is less as in your case.
My advice is you should not rely much now on urine pregnancy test, go for beta HCG blood test and repeated test if necessary afterwards after consulting your doctor and also one scan.
