What Causes Post Nasal Drip?

My sinuses drain down my throat constantly even though I just finished antibiotics, Mucinex D, allergy pills and an inhaler every 4 hours for the past 5 days. I am a 44 yr old female, 5 3 , 150 lbs. I tested mildly allergic to polen, mold, dust, dogs & cats. This sinus thing has happend last 2 winters & springs.

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Allergies, inflammation and just having the area irritated in the past are some causes. There can be structural problems like scarring or deviated septum that can predispose to problems but mostly it is residual inflammation after a viral infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
