What Causes Pounding Sensation In Head And Blurred Vision After Head Injury?
So im a baton twirler and about an hour ago i went to do a toss summer salt. I jumped too much and didnt tuck enough and hit my head really hard on the ground. I blacked out for a few seconds. I layed on the ground and held my head for a little while until i got up. There was a really bad pounding in my head and had troubles hearing and forst and my vision was blurry. It went away but then i tasted blood. I cant still taste it so i rinsed out my mouth and the water was pink. Is this bad?
Hi, I've gone through your query and I understand quite well your concern Head injuries due to bleeding are generally classified by the location of the blood within the scull, these include: epidural hematoma, subdural hematoma, intracranial bleed, edema, skull fracture etc. Some common symptoms of a head injury include: vomiting, bleeding from the ear, speech difficulties, paralysis, difficulty swallowing and body numbness.
Based on what you referred to me You should go to a hospital immediately and seek medical attention because head injuries should be taken seriously because they can be some time life-threatening!! It's important to make a CT or MRI in order to evaluate your situation and start a treatment which depends on the type and severity of the injury.
Take care Dr. Ermira Biu
