Hi , about an hour ago I had a pain in my chest that woke me up from a nap. The pain was more predominately in the middle of my chest just below right where your ribs meet. It penetrated straight up. This scared me. I thought I could be having a heart issue. In my panic I took 3 baby aspirin. I then checked my blood pressure which was high the first reading but dropped down to 129/87 after relaxing. I was also burping a lot. I still feel some discomfort. What could this be? Should I be concerned.

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.Your condition is most likely gastritis with gastroesophageal reflux. But it is better to have an ECG and rule out a heart problem.Blood pressure also should be checked and if is persisting hypertension is there even after controlling salt intake and life style modification then an antihypertensive drug should be taken. In case of gastritis with reflux i advise rabeprazole and domperidone for 2 to 4 weeks.I also recommend to avoid alcohol smoking and spicy, oily foods.I also advise them to take light meals at short intervals and dinner preferebly at 7pm or before.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
