What Causes Pressure In The Head Along With Light Headedness?

My husband is 58yrs old, 6 , 250 lbs, he feels like a belt is wrapped around his head, just above his eyebrows, lightheadedness. Took his pressure earlier it was 110/56. He never goes to the dr. I have been trying all day to get him to go. Is this some thing I should worry about ??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Well the band like sensation which your husband has could be due to low blood pressure, the documented blood pressure which you have given here is low, ask him to drink plenty of water to hydrate himself, adding extra salt to his diet for few days might help, if he is on blood pressure medication then his dose would have to be readjusted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
