What Causes Pricking Sensation On Body With Red Bumps On Neck And Arms?
Yes, thank you. I am a 25 yr old male and I recently went to the emergency room with chest pain & back pain. They did xray & ekg and found nothing. they said it was a muscle strain and gave motrin for pain. Now I am feeling pins & needles all over my body from head to toe and I am getting bright red bumps on my neck and arms and small bumps that are not red on my arms and back. Is this an allergic reaction? Also, I am sweating alot under my arms.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pricking sensation on body with red bumps on neck and arms. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like angiomas , acne, poor immunity, allergic reaction, eczema , psoriasis and scabies . It can also occur due to side effect of some medicine . Need not to worry. You should maintain proper cleanliness and apply cold compresses on body area. I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene , take antihistamine like benadryl and avoid applying any cosmetic , apply only petroleum jelly . Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin test or allergy test along with blood test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with antibiotics and anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment .
