What Causes Prickly Sensation And Pain In Throat?
My wife has had sore throat (with Beta Hemolitic Streptococcus A Bacteria at small amounts) and symptoms of sinusitis (blccked nose and ear). She used Zinnat 500 mg (Cefuroxime axetil) for 10 days and Augmentin 1000 mg for five days with nasal decongestants and Asist (expectorant). Despite all this medical treatment, she still has a prickly sensation and occasional pain in her throat. How do you explain this and what do you suggest?

Noted the history about your wife getting the beta hemolytic streptococcus infection for which a combination of Zinnat 500 mg (Cefuroxime axetil) for 10 days and Augmentin 1000 mg for five days with nasal decongestants and Asist (expectorant) has to work the best.
The incomplete resolution is due to inadequate duration of the treatment .
You have to continue either of the antibiotics for 14 days minimum.
You have to give her additional probiotics and have multivitamins.
She will improve for the prickly sensations and pain in the throat.
Always go for complete and curative courses.
