What Causes Projectile Vomiting Around 10 Hours After The Fall?
Hi. My baby fell out of the bed and no one saw whether she hit her head first, however, there is bruising on her right cheek and back of her right shoulder. At first she was disoriented and not her usual self and had a projectile vomiting while eating her formula. 4 hours after the fall I woke her up and saw that she was responsive and smiling. Again, she had a projectile vomiting around 10 hours after the fall. Should I take her directly to the ER or wait and keep on monitoring her for any signs? Thanks Lana
Hi & Welcome. I appreciate your concern for your beloved daughter. The features described in your query are suggestive of some sort of head injury referred to as cerebral concussion. I would advise you to take her immediately to the ER of the nearest hospital in your area for proper assessment and followup. May be she needs some tests like X ray of the skull or CT scan to rule out fracture of the skull if any.
Hope the suggestion given could of great help, but do not delay in seeking the health care.
A feed back is appreciated.
