What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding After Gallbladder Removal?

Hi Doctor, My gall bladder was removed in December 2016...after that I was fine...getting periods regularly with heavy flow and it lasts for five days...but now on August 11th I got my periods(before that it was on July 31st - Aug 3rd) and till now it has not stopped...went to the nearby gynaecologist and they suggested for abdomen scan and a trans vaginal scan. The report on scan came as there is a haemorragic cyst in right ovary measuring 2.5cm with a endometrial thickness of 8mm...My question is still now I am having bleeding and it s not heavy..I am very scared is there anything to worry...Please answer me

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Nothing to worry. Endometrial thickness is ok.
Ovarian cyst is small and no intervention is required. Also observe for bleeding. If its profuse go for a trans vaginal USG.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
