What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding When Diagnosed With Uterine Fibroids?
Iam 48years, 6ft height, and fair in complexion. For 6month now, am having prolonged haavy menstrual bleeding.I went to. Scan and it shows that i have Fibroid. My Dr place me on hormonal treatment and the bleed continued, he advised to go for evacuation which i did, the bleeding stop for about ten days and repeated which made to prescribe premolute N deport and vitamin K. injection and i took them, the bleeding has stopped for about a week now but he said i ishould take it one more in two weeks time. Pls tell me if the treatment will stop the bleeding since there is fiboid in my womb.
Hi, I think the treatment can stop the bleeding but the main problem is that whenever you stop taking medicines, it can happen again. As your age is premenopausal, you can observe for few months more and see if the bleeding stops on its own . Otherwise you have to continue taking the treatment. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done. If your bleeding is very heavy and is not controlled on Medicines, better to go for a surgery if family is com0lete.
