General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I understand your concern.

Prolonged menstrual bleeding can be due to uterine fibroids or endometriotitis.

You need to immediately visit gynaecologist.
Investigations like pelvic examination,USG abdo pelvis and endometrial smear may be required.
Tranexamic acid may be needed to control bleeding for 3-5 days every month.
Uterine fibroids can be treated by medical management using drugs like danazol, hormonal contraceptives for couple of months.
Iron supplementation may be needed as prophylaxis against anaemia.
If you have completed your family, surgical options like myomectomy or hysterectomy may be considered.

Hope this information helps.
Feel free to ask any more doubts.
