What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

I ve been on my period for over a week nowafter only 2 weeks of being off my last period. My main concern is that ive been passing huge blood clots from the size of a good ball to a softball. The first one was so big I barely had a chance to sit on the toilet before the blood clot forced my tampon out

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Such bleeding could be due to hormonal imbalance,menopause,growth in genital tract.
You need immediate admission for control of bleeding &specific diagnosis.
Till then take bed rest.plenty of oral fluids with sugar &water, Take over the counter medicine..Cap CVP ... 2 caps that hree times a day.
