What Causes Prolonged Menstruation And Vaginal Spotting?
Hi, I normally have heavy painful periods for 5days. But i have been having longer periods for a few months now, 7days and last month they were even longer. I have been spotting since my last period in mid March. I had not had sex since Sept 2016. Just had sex last Saturday when I thought I was done with my periods. 2 days later, the spotting started again and has not stopped. What could I be suffering from and how can I treat it?
Hi, I think you should go for examination by a gynecologist. It can be due to some infections or cervical pathology. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries done to find out the cause of irregular bleeding.
Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. Also get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or hormonal imbalances. You may need some hormonal treatment. It can also be due to some pelvic infections.
