Actually it is ubiquitous found every where. Actually when you are operated upon the condition becomes favourable for this bacteria to grow. In such situation if single bacteria grows on that part it will multiply easily and cause infection. I advice you should take the drugs as per the sensitivity report of the bacteria, this will cure the infection at earliest. This bacteria are notorious for resistance and it may be difficult to treat it without sensitivity report. Please maintain good hygiene by frequent cleanliness and dressing.
