General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Pulmonary hypertension is when there is increased pressure in the pulmonary arteries. This can result in damage to the heart if it is not controlled. There are two types of pulmonary hypertension. One is the type that is congenital, that is you are born with it. The other type comes from lung disease. The right side of the heart pumps blood to the lungs so if the lungs are diseased then it can cause a back up of pressure on the pulmonary arteries.
It is very important that you have medical care for this condition
Regards
