What Causes Pulsatile Tinnitus While Suffering From Hypertension?
It is 1:48 am in California. I m on medication for HBP. Does it mean anything that I can detect my heartbeat in my ears? Is my heart over working? Are my eardrums detecting higher pressure?? I use an affront type nasal spray nightly for a couple of weeks. I m 65.
The hypertension can cause tinnitus problem. You need to control your blood pressure mainly to resolve tinnitus. However, impacted wax, middle ear infection, anemia, thyroid issue etc., also can be the cause. So need to be ruled out. You should do your otoscopy examination for primary work up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
