I have had blood tests which were OK but my urine tests keep coming back with white pus cells I did have blood in my urine but that has gone I have been on a strong dose of antibiotics for 10 days and then had another urine test but the pus cells still there what could be the problem
* There can be various causes of pus cells in urine tests as
- urinary tract infection through some sort of bacteria or parasite
- sexually transmitted infection with secondary effects
- genital hygiene related issue
- a systemic symptom of uncontrolled blood sugar or low immune status
- a side effect of certain medications
- low hydration status
* Depending upon the intensity of the infection, it can cause a variety of issues for a particular person as
- burning urination
- fever
- malaise, body ache
- low appetite
- fertility related conditions in chronic UTI
- affect over kidney function in severe cases
- systemic sepsis when grave issues
* So it is advisable to get a consulting with an expert physician and get best treatment rather than allowing the infection to get a flare-up of the system in various pattern.
