What Causes Pus Filled Blister On The Elbow Of A Person With MRSA?

I have mrsa I got it over 2 years ago in a hospital and have had a couple of abcesses since then. But now I have a tiny bump with yellow pus on my elbow. I have been applying a warm rag to it to try to get the pus to come out. But my question is do I have to go to a doctor to get antibiotics to get rid of it knowing that I have mrsa or would a warm rag actually get rid of it

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The use of magnesium sulphate cream would help along with the warm compress , to encourage any drainage.

It would be best to see a doctor however because though some of the pus may drain, small pockets of pus remain that may cause re infection.

Part of the definitive treatment of an abscess is incision and drainage of the area. This is an in office procedure.
Antibiotics would also be given.

I hope this helps
