What Causes Puss Like Taste In Mouth While Coughing?

my husband had lung cancer, had surgery, removed right lung, then chemo 4 sycles and 25 radiation therapy,
two months later after radiation had adrenaloctomy, biopsy showed that it was metastasis from lung cancer.
when he caughs he has taste of pus in his mouth. what causes this?

I really appreciate your concern with the history of malignancy of lung chance of lung abscess is very likely and this could be fungal in nature and this need to be ruled out this is really matter of concern, take care.

hello dear. I appreciate your concern. Your husband has advanced lung cancer. the cause of pus like taste in mouth can be the chest infection. He should undergo a CT scan and sputum culture for looking the infection and then appropriate treatment.
