What Causes Pussy Dark Spot On Neck?

hi, have some sort of scaly spot on neck which has now developed to a pussy, dark spot. Pharmacist advised suspects shingles, as I explained sometiime now stings but could be from scratching during sleep. Concerned abt a) cintagion and b) scarring. Pls advise if able to assist.

Hi,

Acanthosis Nigricans should be screened for diabetes and, although rare, cancer. Controlling blood glucose levels through exercise and diet often improves symptoms. Topical fade creams (normally used for eliminating age spots) can lighten skin cosmetically in less severe cases. Selenium Sulfide topical 2 percent applied in thin layer to dry skin ten minutes prior to bathing may clear symptoms.
