Dear Doctors,
I am 71/F. History of reflux syndrome and high cholesterol.
* The “Reflux Syndrome” was treating with Nexium and other anti acid tablet. There is nothing worrying me now.
* For the Cholesterol treatment: I was put on Vytorin 10/20mg (Tab 1) QD x 6 weeks starting on 23/2/2011.
The blood test shown improvement, reduce Vytorin 10/20mg to half tablet QD x 36 weeks (Counting from 6/4/2011 – 11/1/2012.)
11/1/2012 I noticed the tongue is bitter, more serious every day. There is no pain, no fur tongue, no ulcer or gland and the body weight maintain well. The food and seasoning was monitor carefully, but could not identify the course of the problem. The blood test of liver function and Cholesterol done and showed normal picture. I stop taking the Vyotrin since 1/2/2012. It is improving, but very slowly.
During this period, I notice my left eye lids muscle twitching. I was seen by Ophthalmologist, examination done with negative result.
I am rather depressing because of the “Bitter Tongue” syndrome. May I ask the expert opinion from you please? I look forward to hearing from you.
With kind regards.
Sabrina
