What Causes Racing Thoughts And Severe Insomnia?

so I am a 21 year old pregnant female. Since I was a little girl I ve had what I have always referred to as funny feelings they consist of everything moving very fast in my head. I visual can. See that everything is moving at it s normal pace but in my head (including my thoughts) are moving at an extreme pace. My sense of touch is even altered, everything feels bigger. As I ve gotten older its rate for me to get one of these. But the one I just had was so intense I refused to move. It normally only happens when I m laying down in the on dark trying to fall asleep... Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Racing thoughts and insomnia are very common when someone with bipolar disorder is having manic or hypomanic episode. I would suggest seeing a psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
