What Causes Rapid Heart Rate After Taking Invokana?
I am concerned about starting Invokana with all the side effects. I take 2000mg of Metformin ER per day now. Why is fast heart rate a side effect of invokana. What would be the causes? Would it be because of low blood sugar or dehydration or just in general?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rapid heart rate. Well Invokana is not known to cause rapid heart rate . But the can be many other reasons that can cause rapid heart rate like damage to heart tissue , abnormal electrical pathways , anemiastress , high blood pressure , drinking too much alcohol or drinking too many caffeinated beverages . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist if your are experiencing such events frequently . Doctor may install Holter monitor along with other test like ECG and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , anti-arrhythmic medications along with catheter ablation .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
