What Causes Rapid Heart Rate After Taking Mirtazapine?
I know the effects of .mirtazapine (remeron) on the brain are unknown. I have a medical marijuana card and recently took both together. The results were extremely unpleasant. Hallucinations, increased heart rate etc... Why is this? Also, the effects seem to be lasting days rather than hours. Please help
I understand your concern. While the combination between Mirtazapine and cannabis is generally harmless, certain cases of interaction between the two have been documented, manifested as increased anxiety, heart rate and hallucinations and even delirium. It is not clear why this happens but it is best to refrain from using both at the same time. There is a long list of antidepressants that are known to interact with marijuana, so finding one that works best for you is something you should discuss with your doctor, who is aware of your medical history. I hope this helps. Wishing you all the best.
