What Causes Rapid Heart Rate Along With Breathlessness?
I have gained 30 pounds in 4 months eating well and exercising, although my excercise tolerence has severly diminished. I have shortness of breath and elevated pulse rate?? Had Nuclear stress test, echocardiogram, EKG, PFT with methyl choline, CT Angiogram and evertyhing was normal, still have severe shortness of breath?? Dr s ruled out heart problems, COPD and Asthma???? Please help. I am 50 years old and in great schape beside the recent unexplained weight gain.

I do understand your pain and discomfort
As per your history is concerned you have done all tests to ruled out common pathology please check whether you have done T3,T4 and TSH test to ruled out hypothyroidism or not.
