What Causes Rapid Heart Rate Along With Mild Pain In Chest?
Hello doctor, I rested for 3 hours and I woke up 20 minutes ago because today I didn t get enough sleep. When I woke up my heart was pumping very fast and I felt a slight pain in the heart when I moved the muscle. I m 19 years old and type 1 diabetic and I weight 63 kg (139 pounds) and 1.82 mts. I checked my sugar at the moment and it was slightly high at 140 mg/dL. My heart is a very important preoccupation to me and I can t explain why this just happened to me.
It is understandable to be concerned about any symptoms related to the heart.
Heart related disorders would normally cause symptoms on activity because this is the time when the heart works harder. Only in cases of severe heart disease would the symptoms progress to occur at rest.
Heart pain is also not affected by movement of the chest, this would be the muscles , ligaments or bones in the chest wall.
The use of anti inflammatory medication would help if it is severe eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen.
Palpitations can also occur as a result of anemia, thyroid disease, infection , trauma or anxiety.
I hope this helps
