What Causes Rapid Heart Rate While On Lisinopril?

Ok, im on 10mg of lisinopril, but recently have lost weight and have quit smoking, and my bp at the highest has been 118/78, and normally its in the 100s/60s (since i quit smoking and lost weight), but my pulse rate has been through the rough during the day in the from 80s to 110s. there talking about taking me off the blood pressure meds, could this be a reason why my heart rate is so high?

Welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Symptoms are the matter of concern else if you go on reading the blood pressure on your own so it will show great deal of error, if you want to rule out the possibility of hypertension the you need to see the physician and discuss this with physician else the given figures normal one (If read in right way) even taking the reading of pulse on your own may show different reading at different time, if you do not have any symptom then it is nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query,
