What Causes Rapid Myoclonic Sensation In The Head?
I have a rapid myoclonc sensation in my head that comes every night after sleep for around six months now. It is becoming more intense and keeps me up a good portion of the night. I thought I was going in and out of atrial fib or flutter. The Holter mtr showed it was not the case. I'm 59 yo fe with MVP. Healthy otherwise. All labs normal. Meds are HRT, MVI, and fish oil for dry eyes. This sensation only happens at night. I do have tinnitis and occasionally have a twitching and clicking deep in the right ear but this is not what I experience at night. I can hear my skipped heartbeats as the tinnitis stops for the brief seconds. But this ,too, is not what I am experiencing at night. Sometimes I wonder if I will make until morning. I'm an advanced practice RN and am concerned. I will follow up with my cardiologist and ask to be referred for furthur workup. But to who? ENT. Neurologist. Psychiatrist. From my online search, it appears to be challanging to find an experienced physician with this disorder.
