What Causes Rash On The Cheeks Of My 9 Month Old Baby?

My 9 month old son has a fever of 100.8 (underarm) and has been breaking out in a rash on his cheeks. He is also extremely congested in his upper respiratory system. The fever began yesterday but the rash is a new development as of this evening. Should I go the ER?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Rash limited to only cheeks is very common in babies especially those associated with non specific viral infection.
If the baby is comfortable, accepting feeds well, no respiratory symptoms then there is no cause for concern.
Take care
