What Causes Rashes On Cheeks And Chest After Taking Anesthesia?
My daughter was put under general anesthesia yesterday to have some fillings done, she now has an awful rash on her cheeks and in circles on her chest. I figured the ones on her chest are likely from the adhesive on the monitor leads. But what would cause the rash on her cheeks? Do they generally tape the breathing tube to her face? or just a random reaction?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes on cheeks and chest after taking anesthesia . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to allergic reaction from anesthesia or its content like adrenaline , lidocaine and succinylcholine chloride . I would suggest you to consult doctor without any delay to prevent condition like anaphylactic shock . Doctor may give immunosuppressnts . For now apply cold compresses on rashes and take benadryl twice a day.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
