What Causes Rectal Bleeding?

Hi Doctor, I am Animesh and I recently travelled from Toronto to Kolkata and it was a very long flight.
After reaching home, I observed that there was blood in stool, seems rectal bleeding since blood was there even after cleaning. Please let me know if that is normal,. Would like to let you know that I am flying long distance for many years , and this is the first time I have experienced this problem. Please advice.

1. Rectal bleeding can vary from simple hemorrhoids to other medical condition such as anal fissure or polyp, proctitis, Crohn's disease, chronic constipation, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer thus check with a General Surgeon for physical examination [per rectum], investigation [stool for occult blood] and correct diagnosis and management.
