What Causes Rectal Bleeding?

I m 57 female. Bilateral mastectomy. 2 months ago I was admitted to hospital for acute lower gi bleed. Had blood transfusions. Colonoscopy normal. This week rectal bleeding started again. Saw gi provider today. Waiting for blood work results. Dr may do endoscopy for hiatal hernia and sigmoid scan. Once a cancer survivor, it s hard to not worry. Any advice?

I would suggest to consult a gastroenterologist and undergo sigmoidoscopy, USG scan, stool tests, fecal calprotectin to confirm the cause.

Specific treatment will depend on the cause and test result. Drink plenty of luke warm water, take healthy diet. For further management contact with tests results.
