Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. Ive been in and out of hospital/family physicians care for the past 2 months. I continue to get rectal bleeding (light red colour, often not serious). They ve done a scope and found a minor cut and believe it is an issue caused hard stools. In addition the exterior of my anus looks and even feels different. There is a white/pink, (looks like a flap of wrinkled skin) that comes out of the anus. Its hard when i touch it. I dont experience pain but it does itch from time to time. I asked and the doctors and they said it wasnt a hemorrhoid nor did it look like HPV. Im curious what do you believe it could be, and if I were to go see a gynecologist, what should I ask for?

What Causes Rectal Itching And Bleeding?
Hello, Fissure or hemorrhods may cause rectal bleeding and itching. Other possibilities like pin worm infestation or pruritis ano or eczema etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Eat a high fiber diet, do regular exercise and drink plenty of water. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
