What Causes Recurrent Acne And Pigmentation While Suffering From Hypothyroidism?

hello doctor.. i am a 28 year old female who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 11 months ago... n started on 100mcg levothyroxine... since a year i have been experiencing recurrent acne... i never had this problem before i was diagnosed with hypothyroididsm, not even at puberty... what could be the cause of this acne and the pigmentation afterwards? how to treat it?

As you have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and the medication in form of levothyroxin has been started.
This medicine is an artificial hormone which is given as a substitute for natural thyroxin produced by thyroid gland which in your case under functioning.
There can be some side effects of this medication including acne and pigmentation but you cannot avoid medication for this reason though your doctor can reduce the dose as per the need.
To help you you can use Himalyan Anti Acne kit, Blemenor and Syrup Telekt. All these are herbal preparation without any side effects or drug interference.
