What Causes Recurrent Diarrhea?

I am having several bouts of diarrhea daily. And usually I don t even have to eat or drink anything! And when my intestines start cramping , I can t hold it in and end up not making it to the bathroom in time. I am going to see a gastroenterologist April 10th, but I am trying to get a bit of a handle on what to ask. By the way, I don t have my gallbladder anymore (I still have my gallbladder attacks though), I haven t had a period in 3 years (I am 49), and I have been dealing with this for about 15 years.

Hi,

It can be due to irritable bowel problem. You may have a persistent intestinal infection as well.

The anxiety, foods which you may be aware may be causing it. To prevent it try the soup, light meals, avoid stress, relax, try probiotic in the diet.

You also take Ofloxacin and Ornidazole tablets.

If symptoms continue after that report to the emergency room for further evaluation and accordingly, you would be treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
