Wimpy husband age 83 has been having dizziness with falling and comes from no where then leaves. He wa in the hospital last week and was put through a lot of scans MRi s nothing found but narrowing in the vein in the back of his head which they said may be the cause
A reduced blood supply to the lower part of brain, called as brain stem, can result in dizziness, loss of balance, incoordination while walking, vertigo. The narrowing of the veins in the back of head as seen in the MRI is most likely producing theses symptoms due to diminished blood flow in the surrounding area and the brain stem.
Hope this answers your question. Thank you.
