What Causes Recurrent Fever Along With Headache?

My granddaughter, age 8, is experiencing frequent fevers of 101 to 103, which is later accompanied by a pounding headache. After giving ibproferen, she is able to sleep and has relief for several hours. This used to happen occassionally but is occurring more often, several days a week. Her headaches are not light sensitive.
