Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 3 year and 9 month old now. I noticed that for the past 9 months she is getting fever for every 3 months and this time it has come in the 2nd month itself. This time it is only fever with no other symptom. She is active in the mornings with mild fever but in the evenings it rises up. During night and midnights it reaches near 103.8. Iam giving P250 - 5 ml. But the fever rises by 4th hour itself. Iam scared in the midnights and give meftal-p 5 ml. Then it subsides . Is it ok to give meftal-p. Am I following right procedure. Is it normal to have fever so frequently. I also apply wet cloth in the forehead when fever rises u. What else should u follow.
Thanks for your question on HCM and I do understand your concern
With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out the exact pathological cause of fever so that she can be cured permanently so to know the cause you need a blood test[CBC]and a [para-check]and this will confirm what type of fever it is like viral, bacterial or parasitic origin.
Secondly by giving paracetamol only is not the right treatment and it is given with other medications.
So I request you to do a blood test on tomorrow and get consult with your local doctor for a physical examination.
Hope that helps, If you have further questions please let me know and nothing to be worried at all.
Thanks and wish you a good health
