What Causes Recurrent Fever With Throat Infection?

Doctor, Why my dad easier to fever heat?.. normally 2-3 months will have infection a sore throat, no sound, flu, cough, After infection he need continue to view doctor 2-3 time.. this problem, start since 1 years ago and my dad age 57 years old.
Is the lung problem need to have a x-ray scan? Or immunity system poor? but he care for himself, every morning exercise, vitamin c taken 500mg and fresh fruits taken.. Why him will like this?.. please help me and tell me what I can do for my dad?..

Recurrent sore throat and respiratory infection could be caused commonly due to an organism called 'pneumococci'.
Apart from taking other measures for treatment of infections, it would be advisable for him to get vaccinated against pneumococci, which would help to build his immunity and would prevent the episodes of recurrent respiratory infections.
