Hi Dear,

Welcome to Health Care Magic Team.

Understanding your concern.

As you describe in query about migraine ,as such there is no particular cause has been discovered yet . But it is believed that swelling of blood vessels and nerve irritation cause migraine which in turn occur due to some trigger factors.

So its extremely important to know about the trigger factor ,that is what exactly starts the migraine .By doing this we can avoid those factors and can prevent occurring of migraine up to some extent.

There is very large range of such factors but some most common factors are bright light ,loud sound ,stress , lack of sleep , fermented beverages and drinks containing caffeine . Stress is very important factor .

The medicine (vasograin)which you are taking contain ergotamine which has some side effects in long term .It also contain caffeine which sometimes act as a trigger factor for migraine .

So i would suggest you to consult your doctor and describe your condition .Your doctor can prescribe you some medicines like propanolol or amitriptyline which has better results.

For now what you can do is avoid triggers and do yoga, meditation and
regular exercise .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
