Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Bouts Of Nausea, Sweating Palms And Tremors?
I have been taken to the hospital twice in the last 4 months by ambulance. Nauseated, almost fainting, sweaty palm then cold, shakes. Next door neighbor is a nurse and the first time I called her over as I was alone at the house. Last week I was at work and our nurse there was with me and decided to call an ambulance for me to go get checked. Both times I needed to lay on the floor to ensure I would not fall. Heart test good, blood pressure good, Stress test good. Wife is going through chemo for pancreatic cancer. First time I was not sleeping and very stressed and nervous. Treated as anxiety. Was off work 6 weeks. I am 53 years old and in good shape. Should I ask for certain tests to be completed?
Hello Sir, Have you spoken to your doctor about panic attacks? From your description of your situation and symptoms, that is what it sounds like to me. In experience, psychiatrists and medical doctors alike typically give ativan, or more effectively, clonazepam, for these attacks. Please speak with your doctor about this option as it may provide great relief. You also need to make certain to eat well in this stressful time and I send my best wishes to your wife. Thank you for contacting HCM. Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
