What Causes Recurring Fever And Body Chills In A Child?
My son is 5 years old. He got fever since last 4 days. The fever recurs after 4-6 hours of giving paracetmol. (Dolo250+ Metfal) . Since yesterday, pediatrician has also started Bactoclav(3 doses over). But still fever has been recurring after 6 hours with chills. It goes only after giving paracetmol medicine. Went to pediatrician today. He said Bactoclav takes 2-3 days to responds and asked to wait. I am worried as my son gets fever(103C) with chills

As per your query your son has symptoms of recurring fever and body chills which seems to be viral fever or flu. It is due to poor and compromised immunity of body.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. Drink plenty of fluids, have proper rest. Your symptoms will resolve in 3-4 days. Take analgesic and take light diet. You should take anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to prevent fever and body-ache. Give child proper rest and give oral rehydrating solutions. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit pediatrician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper examination and prescription. Go for blood tests such as W.B.C count as well as increased count will indicate infection in the body.
