My 8 year old daughter runs low grade fevers at night. She has been sick throughout the winter with strep 3 times as well as ear infections. She consistently has these fevers and they fluctuate all the time. Her doctor said not to worry unless it goes above 101. She also complains of headaches and earaches occasionally, but when checked her ears are clear. Any suggestions?
Children may manifest such symptoms if they have inflamed tonsils. They may present with fever, earache or common cold like symptoms.
Be careful of what she is eating, she should avoid ice-creams or anything from the refrigerator.
She should take warm drinks & semi solid food. She should avoid visiting swimming pools. You are suggested to get her clinically examined by an ENT. Get her tonsils & ear checked. She may need antibiotics & anti inflammatory medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
