Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Headaches And Nausea Along With Fever?
My son was sick starting Wednesday - headaches and nausea. We thought it was dehydration but the following day he had a fever and headaches again. He didn t eat much but we put as much liquid in him as possible. Fast forward to the last two days - he has felt fine during the day, but about 5pm or later 99.7-101 fever pops up. Why does it keep coming back?
Since you have not mentioned, I assume your son to be a child and will answer accordingly.
Fever and headache can be a manifestation of a Viral illness which can present with such symptoms along with loss of appetite and Nausea.
The main treatment for such cases is to ensure adequate hydration. Good that you attempted the same.
However, since your son is now experiencing an evening rise of temperature, it is better, you get your child seen by a doctor and physically examined to rule out serious other causes of such manifestations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
