What Causes Recurring Headaches And Sensitivity To Sound And Light?
Hi, I am 32 year old and working as software professional. Igot severe headache say 2-3 times in a month. some time its in full head but most of the times feel on half head, irritation from light and sound at that time. I used to take Discprine or any headache medicine then sleep after that I found it completely fine. sometime it took 2-3 days to completely gone. please guide me for this.
Very likely by what you explain you are having migraineheadaches. Still it is best to see a doctor and have a full examination to rule out other rare but important causes of headache especially if you have not had a thorough examination for this or the headache is changing characteristics or is worse.
Migraine might improve with over the counter pain medications like paracetamol and ibuprofen if used early but most of the patients do not see improvement with these and treatment with drugs specific for migraine (triptan drugs, like sumatriptan) might be needed.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
