What Causes Recurring Headaches On The Left Side Of The Temple?
I have been having bad headaches off and on for a month now they will come and go but only on left side of my temple throbbing and a lot of pressure I m 23 years old I ve also noticed some tingling and numbness as well it s really worrying me what causes this?
The throbbing headache and abnormal sensations may be due to migraines. Migraines are known to cause neuropathy (abnormal function of the nerves), which would cause the tingling and numbness.
There are also other causes as well so it would be best for you to be assessed to determine if this is the cause of your symptoms.
This assessment would mainly involve history and physical examination however depending on the findings, imaging such as a CT scan, may be needed.
Treatment would depend on the cause found but if migraines are confirmed, there are pain medications that can be used and also medications that are used to prevent migraines in persons with frequent or severe headaches.
I hope this helps
