What Causes Recurring Hip Pain And Back Pain After Doing Exercises?

I have pretty intense hip (on the side) pain that comes and goes. It started about 3 weeks ago after I walked on a tread mill for about an hour. It had been a while since I had exercised. The day after i was on the tread mill, my back hurt but it only lasted a day or two. Then I had a dull pain in my left hip-it came and went. I took Epsom salt baths and it got better. But the next day the pain came back in my hip. It has gotten progressively worse. It is much more intense- and does radiate down my leg sometimes. It comes and goes without any rhyme or reason. It seems to be irritated sometimes by walking. sitting, standing or laying down. Help!!!
