General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Soreness in the ankle associated with lump is commonly due to water retention or medical conditions like arthritis, gout or nerve damage. Limit your salt intake. Take blood tests to detect RA, OA, Gout. Pain or cramps in the legs at rest may be indicative of PAD, peripheral artery disease. Get clinically examined by a Neurologist or Vascular specialist. Get Nerve conduction tests, Imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. In the meantime, take NSAIDS, Naproxen or combiflam, one SOS when there's pain. Take vitamin B6, B12 rich food or supplements. Take vitamin E supplements.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
